Professional Background

Hi, I'm Craig Ducharme, a lifelong mechanic with a deep passion for cars and vintage restoration that began in my teens. Over the years, I've honed my skills and knowledge from a young age starting at Performance Apex in Renton, WA. From there, I worked at several shops specializing in British cars. One of the most memorable experiences was working in Magnolia Village with a mechanic from the UK, where we primarily focused on Jaguars. I loved being a mechanic.

In the early 80s, I sustained an injury that made it difficult to continue the physical demands of the job, so I shifted gears and attended community college. It was there that I met my business partner, and together we opened a Computer VAR Business. However, three years later, the recession hit, and with our first baby on the way, I sought a more secure career and joined Microsoft.

Family and Personal Life

My journey eventually led me to Woodinville, WA, where my wife, Sanna, and I raised our three wonderful daughters. Being a "Girl Dad" has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Each of my daughters found their unique paths: our eldest is a dedicated teacher who specializes in working with children with special needs and is now a mom herself. Our middle daughter became a nurse, caring for premature babies, and our youngest is a Project Manager working at a big tech corp. Surprisingly she developed a strong interest in mechanics. All my daughters are strong DIYers, however, Elizabeth wanted to work on her own car, so she does.

In 2019, we moved to beautiful Camano Island, a place that perfectly complements our love for fishing, crabbing, and rural life as well as being just right for me to pursue my passion for turning a wrench again.

Returning to My True Passion

After decades in the corporate world, I realized it was time to pursue my true passion full-time. That's why I decided to open my own car shop, dedicated to servicing customers who are often turned away by other garages. Here, no job is too complicated. Whether it's a Vintage Car Restoration, Restomod Hotrod Build, or complex repair, I take pride in delivering top-notch service with meticulous attention to detail.
